Milford United reach Division 2 Cup final

MILFORD United booked their place in the final of the Division 2 Cup on Saturday (Apr 16) as they beat Johnston 2-1 after extra time in Herbrandston.

MIlford went close in the first half with a header that went just over the bar but the half ended goalless.

The game came to life in the second half though with Liam Parks opening the scoring in the 54th minute.

Johnston’s hopes of getting back into the game were dealt a blow with thirteen minutes to go as Ashley Bevans was sent off after a recieving his second yellow card.

Despite being a man down the Tigers equalised just four minutes from time through sub Kieran Walker.

That sent the game into extra time and the first fifteen minutes saw no goals as the prospect of penalties began to loom over the game.
