Narberth go second with win over Saundersfoot

NARBERTH moved up to second place in Division 1 after they beat Saundersfoot by six wickets on Saturday (Jun 11).

They sit just four points behind leaders Neyland and have emerged as a contender for the top spot following four wins from their last five games.

Narberth won the toss and chose to field and they were able to bowl Saundersfoot out for 116.

Danny Caine top scored for the home side with 45 and Sam Franklin added 24.

Lewis Hough did the damage for Narberth as he took four wickets for 14 runs.

In reply, Loui Davies scored 29 while John Mansbridge (1-17) and Nav Kawale (2-48) did their best to disrupt their opponents.

Hough though remained calm and he completed an excellent all-round day by finishing unbeaten on 29.

He was joined by Kyle Quartermaine who finished unbeaten on 26.

On Saturday, June 18, Narberth host Cresselly while Saundersfoot host St Ishmaels.
