New signing Britton starts

NEW Llanelli Town signing Leon Britton will start for the Reds in their crunch clash with bottom of the table Llandudno this afternoon (ko 2:30).

Llanelli announced the signing of the former Swansea star on Friday afternoon and he has gone straight into the starting line up.

A win for the Reds will give them a boost going into the second phase of the season as they aim to stay in the Welsh Premier League.

The Reds currently sit second from bottom in the Welsh Premier League and have been looking to make new signings to strengthen their squad.

36-year-old Britton retired in May 2018 having made over 500 appearances for the Swans and he has since taken up a role as an ambassador for the club.

The Reds have already signed Scott Coughlan, Lee Bevan and Luke Morgan this winter.
