Pat picks the right spot to win match

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERANEYLAND Sea Angling Club held their latest match on the breakwater at Fishguard.
The weather was a bit wet, but once they arrived the sun came out and it was a great day. There was another club fishing the Breakwater , and it was nice to chat with the lads from up the line to catch up on the fishing from their neck of the woods.
The fishing was a bit slow, and the tide position did not help as they were fishing the tide down three hours and back up for three. Never theless fish were caught and returned to the scales.
In first place with the heaviest bag was secretary Pat Beisly, Pat usually brings his dog Rolo and fishes the inside bank from his car, but this time he left him at home and was able to pick his spot to fish, and it paid off. Pat also picked up the pool for the heaviest fish.
George (Kit-Kat man) Hawkridge took second spot with his bag containing some nice plump pouting, nice to see George has not lost his touch. Bob South was third with another bag of plump pouting, and Bob’s never far away from the top.
Thanks to the adjudicators Bernie Davies,Steve Tate, and Richard Davies (the money man )
The next match is on Saturday, September 21 at Freshwater East, fishing 4 till 9pm, book in 3.15 pm at the car park.
There is a new venue list for the remainder of the matches, and they can be had by contacting Secretary Pat Beisly.
