Promising Welsh talent joins Manchester United

Gabriele Biancheri, a promising Welsh youth striker, has finalized his transfer from Cardiff to Manchester United.

In January, Manchester United had reached an agreement to acquire the teenage striker who had debuted for Cardiff’s Under-18s earlier this season, having trained with their Under-21 side.

In February, he took to Twitter to express his gratitude towards Cardiff, saying:

“After more than nine years my time with Cardiff has come to an end. I’d like to thank all of my coaches for helping me become the player and person I am today and to all my teammates.

“I’ll forever be thankful for the opportunity I’ve had at this club.”

On Monday, Biancheri posted a photo in his United shirt with the caption “I’m a red 🔴❤️”.

Before Christmas, Biancheri displayed impressive performances for Cardiff’s Under-21 team and later made a brief appearance in the FA Youth Cup, contributing to their 4-3 victory over Crewe.

The 16-year-old is also eligible to represent England and Italy at the international level
