Quins fall off in second half

P.Dock Harlequins 5
Aberaeron 21

THE SCORELINE doesn’t quite reflect the battling performance from the homeside, as they match their Ceredigion rivals physically for much of the game, butQuins began to fall off late on as their fitness levels couldn’t quite compete.

After a tight scoreless first half, the Quins try came from Paul Jonkers, as he made a typically strong run to crash over to the delight of his team mates and the watching crowd.

However Aberaeron showed typical Ceredigion guts, and replied with three tries. Gethin Hughes, Kieran Etheridge and Ollie Sawyer crossed the white wash for the visitors, as Sion Evans converted all three tries.

The Quins sit in ninth place and host seventh placed St Clears this Saturday (Jan 31).
