ROSEMARKET seniors played a 14 hole pairs Texas Scramble Stableford competition on Tuesday. It was a close finish with all pairs involved as only 5 points separated the winners and last place. The format for the day was a draw of players from high and low handicaps. Winning with 39pts were Roger Scrimshaw and Viv Thomas runners up only losing on count back were Seniors Captain Bob Stokoe and Dan Scale in third place were John C Davies and Bernard De La Bastide with 38pts. Winner of the Whisky Trot on Saturday was Frank Bradley with an excellent 42pts.
Runner up was John Lewis 40pts third beating Gary Lloyd and Mark McCormack on count back was Alex Young. Twos winners were hole 7 – Harley Holmes hole 9 – John Lewis John McLean and Alex Young hole 13 – Graham newton hole 16 – Frank Bradley. Members played in a pairs voucher competition on Sunday although Kevin Holmes, Gary Lloyd and Dave Pink came in with the highest scores on the day 32pts the Pairing of Justin Holmes and Harley Holmes won with 59pts.
