St Davids 22
Aberaeron 31
A HAT-TRICK of tries by fly half Jack Jones wasn’t enough to give his side their second victory of the campaign, but it did help the Saints gain a four try losing point, after flanker Carl Evans grabbed his side’s fourth try.
Aberaeron who have found some strong form of late were instantly on the back foot when Jones went over in the corner for his first try, before adding the extras. The Ceridigion side then went ahead after two tries from Sion Evans and Gethin Hughes.
Aberaeron continued to push up field and were rewarded with a try from Aaron Lewis, before Jack Jones grabbed his second along with Carl Evans.
After the break, Aberaeron moved ahead to lead 31-17 after tries from Evans and Lewis. St Davids then had the final say when Jack Jones crossed for his third, sealing a four-try bonus point for the Saints.
St Davids sit in tenth place in the league, and travel to promotion favourites Fishguard on February 21.
