Saints bounce back with win over Cardigan

ST CLEARS earned their fifth win of the season on Saturday (Jan 15) as they beat Cardigan 36-14.

The Saints had suffered defeat to Lampeter the previous week but they bounced back in fine style and led 24-0 at half time against Cardigan.

Shane Morgan, Tomas Rees and Aled Owens all scored tries for the home side but the star of the show was Dafydd Waters.

He scored a hat trick of tries and added the rest of the points with the boot.

Cardigan battled back in the second half with two tries scored by Llyr Jones who also converted both.

It wasn’t enough for the Teifisiders though as the Saints saw the game out.
