Saints earn comfortable win over Milford

ST CLEARS kept the pressure on Division 2 leaders Kilgetty with a win over Milford United on Saturday (Apr 9).

The Saints now have six games left to play compared to Kilgetty’s three and they would need to rely on the league leaders dropping points in two those game if they were to stand a chance of catching them.

After an even first half hour it was the Saints who took the lead with thirty minutes gone, Sam Nicholas grabbing the goal.

Will Evans then made it 2-0 to the Saints three minutes later and they held on to their lead until half time.

Milford looked for a way back into the game but it wasn’t to be and St Clears made sure of the points four minutes from time.

Nick Squire scored the Saints third and the win moves them to within a point of Milford in third place.
