Sam Moore leaves Cardiff after limited game time

Sam Moore has left Cardiff Rugby with immediate effect and is due to join Ospreys after just a handful of games played at the Welsh capital.

The No.8 joined Cardiff from Sale Sharks in January 2020, and made appearances for England U20s before committing his career to Wales.

However Moore, 23, has played just 8 times for Cardiff due to a continuous cycle of injury problems.

With a growing Cardiff squad of back-rowers, his game time may become even more limited as competition for places increases.

After leaving via mutual consent, Moore is set to join Ospreys.

Dai Young, Cardiff Director of Rugby, said:

“I would like to thank Sam for all of his efforts at the club,” said Cardiff director of rugby Dai Young.

“With the resources we have in the back row next season we cannot guarantee Sam regular game-time and he leaves with our very best wishes.”
