Six Nations title for Wales as Scotland beat France

WALES have been crowned as the Six Nations Champions for 2021 after France failed to beat Scotland on Friday night (Mar 26).

It was another close game which went down to the wire but a late try for Scotland gave them a 27-23 victory in Paris.

It was their first win in France since 1999 and it denied France the chance of winning the Six Nations title.

France knew they would need to score four tries and win by 21 points if they were to overhaul Wales but it wasn’t to be.

The French led 13-10 at half time but some indecision in the second half and some missed conversions kept the Scots in it.

Scotland did go down to 14 men late on with a red card but they survived the final ten minutes with the score at 23-20.

As the clock ticked over 80 minutes, Scotland attacked as France’s Championship hopes faded and on 85 minutes, they scored a deserved try.

It means another Six Nations title for Wales after they last won it in 2019 when they won the Grand Slam.
