ABE FORSYTH is 12 years old, a ten handicapper and plays in the Welsh Under 13 and Dyfed Under 14 golf squads. Last summer, at Cardigan Golf Club, Abe won a trophy for the Dyfed Under 13, he has also recently won the Jubilee Cup and received his trophy at Haverfordwest Golf Club where he is a member.
This is an adult order of merit, played from January to October in a Monthly Medal Stroke play competition. Abe won the overall competition by 9 points. This competition is one of the most prestigious in the club and is a ‘Board Competition.’
Abe is the youngest ever player to have his name on the competition boards beating the previous record of 13 years old. He has targets next season of high finishes in both the Welsh and South Wales Boys Under 13 Championships and to achieve a low single figure handicap.
