MONKTON Swifts moved up to seventh place in the Division 1 table on Saturday (Mar 19) as they beat Fishguard 1-0 at Tregroes Park.
The two sides had drawn 3-3 earlier in the season and it was another evenly matched game this time around.
After a goalless first half both sides made changes in a bid to find the winner.
It was the Swifts who got it as Jake Seaton scored with 12 minutes remaining and they were able to hold on for the victory.
The win for Monkton is their second in a row and they now sit two points behind Fishguard, who remain in fifth place in the table.
On Saturday, March 26, Monkton are at home against Hundleton while Fishguard host Carew.
