ST DOGMAELS play football in the Ceredigion Costcutter League Division One, and are based on the stunningly beautiful coastline of West Wales.
They currently lie second in the Costcutter League table after eleven games and they are six points behind leaders NCE reserves. Lampeter and Crannog are definitely hot on their heels behind them, but St Dogmaels will be hoping they can sternly stave off any challenge as they look to catch up with the leaders before they pull away.
St Dogmaels play their home games on the local School field and play in green and white colours. The team has won a number of honours over the years and have been doing well in the cup competitions having completed a hard fought double last year. They won the Percy Eldridge Cup and Ceredigion Cup. Last season they reached an incredible four semi-finals, and even more incredibly they won three of those. They came up short in two of the finals where they were very unfortunate to lose on penalties.
They were also League cup winners in 2011/12 and their last triumph in the league came in 2006/07 when they walked away champions. Fast forward to this weekend and they are away to Llanybydder who they comprehensively beat 8-0 a couple of weeks ago.
