GOODWICK United beat rivals Fishguard 3-1 on Saturday (Feb 26) but they had to play the final 75 minutes with ten men following an early sending off.

Nathan Greene was the man to be given his marching orders but it did not affect the home side.

On 25 minutes they took the lead as Kieran O’Brien set up Iestyn Evans to score the opening the goal of the game.

Seven minutes later it was 2-0 as Luke Hayward scored off an assist from Rhys Dalling.

Dalling was also the provider for Goodwick’s third goal on 37 minutes, scored by O’Brien to give the home side a commanding 3-0 lead.

Fishguard looked to get back into the game in the second half but were unable to find a way past Goodwick keeper Kyle Marsh.
