Tenby finish with a win

TENBY ended the season with their first win as they beat Kidwelly 24-20 away from home in an excellent game.

Both sides will be playing their rugby in League 2 next season but that didn’t stop them putting on a show for those who had come to watch the game.

The visitors started the game well as Lloyd Thomas scored a penalty and Jack Tucker then scored their first try of the game which Thomas converted.

Jonathan Williams replied with a try for Kidwelly and James Owen added the extra two points.

However, Tenby then increased their lead when Tom Barrass received the ball before diving over and Thomas again added the extras.

That gave the visitors a 7-17 lead at half time but the home side hit back in the second half.

Alan Squires and Josh Evans both went over for unconverted tries and Owen added a penalty to put Kidwelly 20-17 ahead.

Despite losing the lead Tenby were not out of the game and Jordan Asparassa was the hero for the Seasiders as he dived over to put his side back in the lead. Thomas again added the extras to put them four points ahead and they were able to hold on for an excellent win.
