AMMANFORD AFC are delighted to announce that former Swansea City striker Lee Trundle has agreed to join the football club and to ply his trade at the Recreation Ground in the 2019/2020 season.
After an illustrious career within the professional game, most notably with Swansea City and Bristol City, Trundle has since turned out in the Welsh domestic system for Llanelli Town and Haverfordwest County.
On the football field, Trundle enables the football club to continue to grow its stature in the domestic game by continuing to provide the young footballers in the town with a football club which plays at one of the highest levels of football in Wales.
However, Trundle equally presents future endeavours to the football club in continuing its commitment to enhancing its community engagement plans.
Upon joining the club, Trundle stated “I’m really pleased to be joining the club. The hard work the club have put in off the field with the new stand, floodlights and ground improvements show the club are moving in the right direction.
“Hopefully with my experience I can make an improvement on the pitch with my own ability as well as helping other players along the way.
“The club has a great family feel to it and I’m looking forward to the community coming out and supporting the boys on a match day and in return myself getting out into the local community and helping out wherever I can. I believe to be part of the football club you become part of the area and by us all working together we can bring good times and make great memories”.
Ammanford welcomes Lee to the football club and look forward to working with him in the forthcoming season.
