Woodrow stars as Vikings beat Narberth

HAKIN United’s Nicky Woodrow was in fine form for his side on Saturday (Mar 30) as he scored four goals in a 5-1 win over Narberth.

The win keeps Hakin five points behind the top four and they still have a number of games in hand on the teams above them.

The Vikings showed no signs of fatigue having played 120 minutes with Merlins Bridge in the West Wales Cup semi final the previous week.

Woodrow fired a low shot into the bottom corner to score one of his goals and also rounded the keeper before rolling the ball in.

He went on to score twice more to take his tally of goals for the season to 18.

Shane Walsh grabbed the other goal for the Vikings as they earned their eleventh win of the season.

Jordan Williams scored his fifteenth goal of the season for Narberth but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome of the game.

Tonight (Apr 1), Hakin are at home as they take on Herbrandston. The Vikings are also in action on Wednesday (Apr 3) as they travel to Pennar Robins.

Saturday sees them take on Monkton Swifts at the Obs in what could be a crucial game in the title race.

On Saturday (Apr 6), Narberth are at home as they take on Goodwick United. Their final game of the season takes place on Wednesday (Apr 10) when they travel to Merlins Bridge.
