Why is ‘This Morning’ off air today?

The ITV schedule for today has been changed to eliminate This Morning. On Tuesday, October 25, an ITV News special will be broadcast instead of the daytime show.

The well-liked show, which is hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, typically airs Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., immediately after ITV’s Lorraine. However, due to a change in the schedule, This Morning won’t be shown as normal today.

This Morning’s regular time slot of 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. will now be filled by an ITV News Special, hosted by Tom Bradby. It happens just before Rishi Sunak takes office as the nation’s next prime minister.

However, the remainder of ITV’s schedule looks to be untouched; Loose Women is still scheduled to run as usual at 12:30pm, and then Riddiculous, Tipping Point, and The Chase will begin at 3pm.

This Morning will be off-air today due to ITV’s news coverage of the new Prime Minister, but we’ll be back tomorrow at 10am, according to a Facebook post.

After taking a break for the half-term last week, Holly and Phillip have only been back on the air for one day. Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond filled in for the two while they were away.

The presenters went to the Pride of Britain Awards last night. The touching occasion happened on Monday, October 24 at Grosvenor House in London, and it will be broadcast on television on Thursday, October 27.

On Wednesday, October 26, This Morning will run as usual.
