A MAN, accused of assault and criminal damage, had his trial date re-set at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Monday. Declan Watt, aged 21, of Springfield Close in Neyland, pleaded not guilty to two charges of assault and criminal damage on September 9. The case was set for trial on Monday but the police officer, whose ‘evidence is essential’, is on honeymoon.
It was also revealed that a withdrawal statement has been made in relation to the charges. The claimant was also happy for bail conditions to be relaxed so that Watt could see his children. Magistrates agreed to remove the bail conditions put in place before and the trial was re-set for January 12. Watt was released on unconditional bail.
