Caught with cannabis on two occasions

courtA HAVERFORDWEST man appeared in front of the town’s magistrates on Tuesday to face two charges of possession of cannabis. Gareth Owen Husband, aged 46, of Park Hall, pleaded guilty to both charges.

Prosecuting, Ellie Morgan said: “At 12.25pm on December 10 a search was conducted at Husband’s caravan. He was not present, and a wrap containing 13 grams of cannabis was found in his living room. At 6am on December 11, Husband was seen in St Clears, and the officer was aware Husband was wanted for questioning and stopped him. He was searched and 3.3 grams of cannabis was also found on his person”.

Defence solicitor, Michael Kelleher said: “He accepts that the cannabis was his and says it was intended for his own personal use and was on his way to work when he was stopped by the police”.

Magistrates fined Husband a total of £195 and issued a destruction order on the drugs.
