Pembrokeshire County Council has reminded people not to put
their lives at risk by visiting stormy seafronts during the recent bad weather.
Sightseers have been particularly noticeable in Amroth where the sea has been so strong that it breached the sea wall and washed away part of the road.
Newgale – where the seafront road too has been closed – has also proved a popular viewing spot.
Because of the threat of further storms arriving on Sunday, the section of the A487 at Newgale will remain closed. When the weather subsides, heavy plant will be required to clear the road of debris caused by the breaching of the pebble wall.
