THE ISLAMIC community in Pembrokeshire is reminding locals that it is extending an invitation for the people of Pembrokeshire and beyond to attend their ‘Community Open Days’, which will be taking place on Saturday September 10 and Sunday September 11 at the Mosque in Milford Haven (Hamad Bin Khalifa Islamic Centre).
As previously reported, the centre will be open at 11am until 5pm on both days, and the open days will include an exhibition of Islamic culture, which will include an opportunity to see calligraphy, and enjoy free food provided by the members of the mosque.
The organisers of the open days said: “We are proud to be a part of this wonderful community and are appreciative of the support that we have received. Extensive repair and renovation of such an historic building in the town, has given us a beautiful, social venue from which we extend a warm welcome to both Pembrokeshire’s Islamic and wider communities”.
Anyone wanting to attend the Community Open Days can just turn up on the day at the mosque located on Charles Street, Milford Haven at the old Tabernacle, next to the police station.
NOTE ABOUT DRESS FOR WOMEN
The management of the mosque would like to extend a friendly reminder for female visitors that it is te custom of Islam for women to dress moderately within the premises.
