TWO people have been arrested in connection with a drug raid at a house in Carmarthen.
A large haul of cash, drugs and mobile phones have been seized following the raid.
A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the discovery, and have been released under investigation.
Dyfed Powys Police executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a residential property in Cae Eithin on Sunday, May 4.
Items seized following the raid include, several mobile phones, a quantity of drugs and cash.
The drugs have been sent for analysis.
A spokesperson for Dyfed Powys Police told The Herald “Dyfed-Powys Police executed a search warrant under the misuse of Drugs Act at a property in Cae Eithin, Carmarthen on Sunday 4 May, 2019.
“A 24-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences. They have been released under investigation.
“A quantity of drugs was recovered and will be sent for analysis. A quantity of cash and several mobile phones were also recovered.”
PC Matthew Roach said “Police in Carmarthen take the issue of the misuse of drugs seriously and are taking a proactive approach in tackling it.
“Enforcement activity is conducted regularly, and I would urge anyone with any information about misuse of drugs to contact police by calling 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
“This information will be acted upon, and will help us in preventing the supply of drugs and the criminality that can be associated with them.”
