Local fuel prices: where to fill up

WITH the price of Petrol and Diesel reaching sky-high levels, many across the county are wondering where they can fill up for less.

The highest price of petrol in Pembrokeshire is Preseli Service Station, near Narberth, at 169.9 Per litre, the lowest price in Pembrokeshire is Lamphey Service Station coming in at 150.9 Per Litre, 19p per litre cheaper.

The highest Regular Diesel price in Pembrokeshire is Victoria Filling Station in Milford Haven at 180.7, the lowest diesel price in Pembrokeshire is either Morrisons in Haverfordwest or Tesco in Pembroke Dock with both of them coming in at 158.9 per litre, a difference of almost 22p per litre.

Prices can vary wildly within areas, for instance Diesel from Tesco in Milford Haven is 20p per litre cheaper than Victoria Filling Station which is barely half a mile away. Petrol from Victoria Filling Station, however, is 9p per litre cheaper than the same Tesco.

The prices of Petrol and Diesel are constantly fluctuating, mainly upwards, so as of Thursday at midday, the prices for petrol and regular diesel in Pembrokeshire were:

Shopping around for fuel is definitely worthwhile, many people assume that bigger franchises automatically mean cheaper prices, but as the figures above show, this is not always the case.

We used the website petrolmap.co.uk to find the cheapest petrol, we suggest using something like that or similar to make sure that filling up your tank isn’t emptying your wallet any more than necessary.
