A COUPLE  from Pembrokeshire who ran heroin into the county on a regular basis have been jailed today for a total of almost seven years.

Gareth John Evans and Dawn Louise Bates had admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin.
Evans, aged 48, of Longmains, Monkton, and 35-year-old Bates, of High Street, Haverfordwest, were trapped in a “large and sophisticated” operation by Dyfed-Powys Police to target heroin dealers.
Swansea crown court heard today that Evans already had two convictions for dealing in heroin.
Evans was jailed for four years and four months and Bates for two years and four months.
As she was being sent down Bates shouted from the dock to her partner who was attending court via a video link: “I love you babe, I am sorry I can not be with you”, she sobbed.
