Pembrokeshire Volunteering Award 2022 nomination deadline approaches

WITH the Deadline for nominations on September 30, there is not long left to nominate a Volunteer or group of Volunteers for a Pembrokeshire Volunteering Award 2022.

Do you have a person or group in mind who you think makes a difference to people and who you’d like to nominate for an award? Have you nominated someone before?  If not, why not spend five minutes thinking about your organisation – is there someone who you think should receive a nomination?  What about a group who you know make a real difference to people’s lives in the work they do voluntarily? Would you like to nominate them?

The Pembrokeshire Volunteering Awards are a chance to shine a light on the, often, unsung heroes in the voluntary sector – the volunteers.

Volunteers give their time and commitment to organisations across Pembrokeshire, without them so much just wouldn’t happen.

This is our chance to thank them for everything they do and let them know how much we value them.

There are 7 different categories, from individual and group categories (including board/ trustees) to an individual category for those who volunteering has made a difference to the life of that volunteer (Mary Sigley Award).

Finalists will be contacted by PAVS and invited to attend an Awards Ceremony, supported by South Hook LNG, in the Autumn.

This event is subject to any restrictions in activity which may be in place at the time and may be virtual.

To complete a nomination form you will need the permission of the volunteer and need to know a little bit about them – and their volunteering (and not be related to them).

There is a ‘Top tips’ form, and a nomination form (word document) here  https://padlet.com/volforpembs/celebrate
