Police said: “We’re appealing for witnesses of a two vehicle collision that happened on the A485 at Windy Corner, near Pencader, around 12.15pm today (Sunday, June 9).
“A lorry and a silver Vauxhall Astra were involved in the collision.
“The female driver of the Astra was trapped in her vehicle. The fire service removed her from the car and she was conveyed to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.
“The road remains closed, please avoid the area. Diiversions are in place. The B4459 Pencader road remains open.
“Anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to report it by calling 101. If you are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired text the non-emergency number on 07811 311 90.”
