Pennar Park appeal lost

county hallA PLANNING Inspector has upheld the decision of Pembrokeshire County Council to refuse to grant planning permission for the erection of a new dwelling at Pennar Park, Pembroke Dock.

The appeal was made by Garry Hart in respect of Plot 31 at Haven Drive, The Point. In reaching his decision to dismiss the appeal, Inspector Alwyn Nixon acknowledged that material considerations exist which indicate that the erection of a new dwelling in this location is acceptable in principle.

“However, the appeal proposal fails to make provision for a contribution to affordable housing provision as required by LDP (Local Development Plan) GN.28, as such the proposal does not accord with the development plan,” he said. “For this reason, and having regard to all matters raised, the appeal does not succeed.”
