A WOMAN who was about to be given a parking fine by a traffic warden in Broad Haven on the weekend was saved the expense, after locals enjoying a pint in the beer garden bought her a parking ticket in her absence.
Claire Dawes had been to Broad Haven on Sunday (May 19) and had failed to purchase a parking ticket.
On returning to the car, she discovered a note attached to her wiper blade, which read: “The traffic warden was going to give you a ticket so I bought you a ticket and saved you the fine.
“Happy Sunday from the locals in the Galleon Beer Garden.”
Attached to the note was a parking ticket, purchased at 7.17pm yesterday evening.
Claire posted a photograph of this to Facebook, saying: “So I decide to take the kids to Broad Haven for a kick around with the football for a hour tonight before my nightshift and didn’t put a ticket on a car as it was late. Return from the beach to find this – so lovely to know there are still good people in the world – thank you so much to the lovely people who did this xxx”
