Seven injured in A477 road accident near Neyland – Two remain in hospital

DYFED-POWYS POLICE is appealing for witnesses after seven people were injured in a road accident.

Two people remain in hospital with serious injuries.

The collision happened on the A477 near Neyland in Pembrokeshire.

The incident took place at around 15:00 HRS on Saturday (Aug 13), and involved a white Ford Focus and a red Nissan Qashqai.

The Wales Air Ambulance confirmed to this newspaper that one person was airlifted to hospital by helicopter. The Wales Ambulance Service said six others were taken to hospital in road ambulances.

As a result of the crash, the road between Neyland and Sentry Cross Roundabout in Pembrokeshire was closed for almost five hours.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police told The Pembrokeshire Herald: “Anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with information that could help officers with their investigation is asked to report it either online, by emailing [email protected], or by calling 101, quoting reference: DPP-20220813-297.”
