Eight more toilets axed

toilets axedEIGHT of the county’s public toilets are to be closed on April 1, it was confirmed at the Environment Overview and Scrutiny committee meeting on Tuesday.

Six toilets have already been closed while another ten have been kept open.

The eight which will close are in Croesgoch, Cwm Gwaun, Dinas Cross, Llangwm, Lawrenny, Mathry, St Florence and Upper Solva.

The council’s property team will now consider the future uses of these toilets.Councillors were also presented with a table which showed the possible uses for those which have already been closed.

Among them is an option to convert the toilets at Hobbs Point in Pembroke Dock into a kiosk type unit.

Another in Manchester Square in Milford Haven is to be considered for a potential garage or store
