Woman airlifted following Llanarthne car crash

airambulance1A WOMAN was airlifted to Cardiff’s University Hospital of Wales on Friday morning (Feb 26) following a two car collision in Llanarthne.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said that the B4300 was closed in both directions between the Llanddarog and Dryslwyn turnings due to police carrying out investigations at the scene.

These investigations included the NPAS St Athan police helicopter taking images of the scene from above.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We had a call from our police colleagues at 8:49am this morning to reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the B4300 in the Llanarthney area.”

“We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car, a crew in an emergency ambulance and a Wales Air Ambulance to the scene. A female was airlifted to Cardiff’s University Hospital of Wales with serious injuries,” the spokesperson concluded.
