A BOWLING alley and extended arcade could be built at a Towyn holiday park.
The Golden Gate Holiday Centre has applied to Conwy County Council’s planning department, seeking permission for the development of a “high-quality” indoor leisure complex.
The plans include a bowling alley, rooftop bar, and extended arcade.
If the proposals are granted, the development would see the relocation of the reception and administration offices in order to “centralise the operation and customer experience”.
The proposed leisure complex would be located within the south-western corner of the holiday centre, consisting of a two-storey flat roof building with a roof terrace.
The plans include the construction of an outdoor play area and 14 parking spaces to the north of the proposed leisure complex.
The holiday company explained their plans in a statement to the Local Democracy Reporting Service in 2024.
A spokesman explained: “We have had tremendous feedback from (caravan) owners, from the community and businesses who all want to see more things to do, more jobs, and a thriving Towyn all year round – our commitment to further investment reflects that.”
Towyn and Kinmel Bay Town Council have no objections to the proposals.
The plans are set to be discussed at a planning committee meeting at Bodlondeb on Wednesday 12 February.
