A NEEDLE was left in a Llandudno shelter just yards from the town’s beach.
The syringe was found at a shelter on the promenade on the town’s north shore yesterday (Tuesday).
It is not known if the syringe was dropped by a drug user or if it was used for medical purposes.
The discovery was followed by parents warning each other on social media to watch where children play.
Hypodermic needles can transmit several blood-borne viruses, including forms of hepatitis which is able to survive on a syringe for weeks and in some cases months.

A spokeswoman for Conwy County Council commented: “Our street cleansing team responded to a report of a needle on North Shore, Llandudno. This was collected and disposed of appropriately.”
