Online meeting for Conwy’s private tenants

CONWY County Borough Council has brought together a range of organisations to provide information and advice for private tenants at an online event on 25 March.

Nearly 1 in 5 households live in a privately rented home – that’s homes that aren’t rented from a housing association.

Representatives from Conwy County Borough Council and Citizens Advice will be available at the online event, with information to help with financial worries and concerns about tenancies.

There will also be an opportunity to hear from TPAS Cymru (Tenant Participation Advisory Service), an organisation that works with tenants in Wales. They will be sharing the results from a recent survey of private tenants.

Tai Teg will provide information about affordable housing and the opportunities available, including who is eligible and how it works.

Conwy County Borough Council Housing portfolio holder, Cllr Charlie McCoubrey, said “We know people have been facing all sorts of housing issues over the past year during the Coronavirus pandemic. This event will provide advice for people who may find themselves struggling at the moment. And it’s also an opportunity for those who are looking for information about their housing options in the future too.”

The event takes place on 25 March from 6pm-7.30pm. To take part, register on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cyfarfod-tenantiaid-preifat-yn-sir-conwy-county-private-tenant-meeting-tickets-142688692721
