Mr Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales talking to pupils at Ysgol Eirias

SAM ROWLANDSR, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, went back to his old school to talk politics.

Mr Rowlands, a former pupil at Ysgol Eirias, Colwyn Bay, was taking part in Digital Dialogue: Wales session, delivered by The Politics Project.

He said: “It was great to have the opportunity to go back to my old school and speak to a group of Year 8 learners. I really enjoyed my time with the students.

“They asked me a lot of challenging and insightful questions about local and national issues and were genuinely interested in hearing about political processes.

“It is always good to have the opportunity to meet with young people and hear what they have to say as they are the politicians of the future.”

Digital Dialogue: Wales links pupils with their elected representatives in a one hour dialogue session on platforms such as Zoom and Teams.

Throughout the session learners are given the unique opportunity to ask questions on issues they care about including the role of a politician, and opinions on local and national political or policy issues.
