Spire Healthcare Abergele Clinic colleagues raise over £490 during their annual summer charity drive activities

COLLEAGUES at Spire Healthcare Abergele Clinic have raised over £490 after undertaking a gruelling climb up Snowdon, alongside a series of fund-raising activities and covered over 300 kilometres during Spire Healthcare’s 2024 Summer charity drive – all in aid of Tŷ Gobaith/Hope House, Charity No. 1003859 and Maggie’s Cancer care, Charity No. SC024414.

Hope House Children’s Hospices (Tŷ Gobaith) is there to make sure that no one faces the death of their child alone and is close to the heart for colleagues at Spire Abergele Clinic. Hope House Children’s Hospices provide specialist nursing care and support to more than 750 children and their families who live in Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales. Maggie’s Cancer Care, Spire Healthcare’s focus charity, is supporting people to live well with cancer.

During the multi-day event, colleagues across the business, including at Spire Healthcare’s 39 hospitals in England, Wales and Scotland, undertook a wide variety of activities including walking, cycling and running to raise money. At Spire Abergele Clinic, colleagues undertook a range of fund-raising activities, include a gruelling colleague hike up Snowdon, a bake sale and raffle, all in a bid to raise funds for Ty Gobaith/ Hope House and Maggie’s Cancer care.
