A RHYL packaging business is seeking permission to expand its site which it says would create new jobs.
Applicant Andrew Thomas, of Thorpe Design and Technologies Ltd, has applied to Denbighshire County Council, seeking planning permission to build a new industrial building on the land.
The company wants to expand a section of the business in order to provide more capacity for welding on site at Unit B, Cefndy Road Employment Park.
The site is currently used for a variation of processes, including welding, assembly, steel work, mouldings, and office space.
A planning statement states: “This development is required in order for us to expand a section of the business by offering more capacity for welding on site.

“This will enable us greater control of our production on site, as well as creating new job opportunities within the local area.”
The planning application will likely be discussed at a future planning committee meeting at Denbighshire’s Ruthin County Hall HQ.
