Mabon ap Gwynfor MS joins ‘Cymru Versus Arthritis’ at Senedd event

MABON ap Gwynfor, the Member of Senedd for Dwyfor Meirionnydd, has urged people suffering from arthritis and musculoskeletal disorders to seek support and advice from the Cymru Versus Arthritis charity.

To commemorate World Arthritis Day 2022, the MS met with the Cymru Versus Arthritis charity at the Senedd to hear more about the resources available to those suffering from the condition.

Approximately 970,000 people in Wales suffer from arthritis and musculoskeletal problems. The organisation provides assistance to those individuals and their families.

The MS said: “I was pleased to join representatives from Cymru Versus Arthritis at the Senedd last week to raise awareness of their important work supporting people living with arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions across Wales.

“Around 970,000 people across Wales live with arthritis, a common condition which causes pain and inflammation of joints, and it can affect people of all ages.

“It is vital that those living with Arthritis in Wales are aware of the support and resources available to them and their families, and who to turn to for help and advice.

“Cymru Versus Arthritis provides a wide range of activities across Wales, including peer support for adults and young people and their families, information sharing and social activities.

“I would encourage my constituents in Dwyfor Meirionnydd who want to find out more about what support is available to those living with the condition to reach out to Cymru Versus Arthritis.”
