Man dies after being hit by lorry on Flint Mountain

A MAN has tragically died following a collision involving a pedestrian and an HGV on Flint Mountain. Emergency services, including the Wales Air Ambulance, were called to the scene on Northop Road around 1:00pm on Monday (Nov 18), but despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Constable Melanie Hughes from North Wales Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this incredibly difficult time. We are urging anybody who may have been travelling along Northop Road around the time of the collision, or just prior, and who may have witnessed anything, or anybody who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage to make contact with us.”

The road was closed for several hours for investigation work but reopened shortly after 6:30pm.
