SAM ROWLANDS, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is urging people who want to make a difference their community to apply to join North Wales Police.
He said: “Applications are currently being accepted by North Wales Police to join the force, and I would encourage anyone interested to make sure they apply by the end of this month.
“I am a keen and long-time supporter of the police and the valuable work they carry out and happy to promote this recruitment campaign.
“North Wales is one of the safest places to live, work and visit in the UK, and this is a wonderful chance to help make sure North Wales stays this way.
“If you want to make a difference in your community, help reduce crime and promote confidence among local people then why not consider applying.”
Police Constables are the face and voice of North Wales Police. They are on the ground, working in partnership with the public and organisations in making a difference to the local community, coming from different walks of life, but united by the same goal – to keep communities safe.
Their priorities are being visible to and engaging with communities; focusing on the basics of fighting, preventing and reducing crime and providing an excellent service to victims.
Policing is one of the most varied jobs there is. From responding to a 999 call you may be saving a life, conducting traffic stops, preventing domestic abuse, , supporting victims, finding vulnerable people, or being the first on the scene in a disaster such as an accident, deceased, public disorders or terrorist attacks. Whatever your day brings, you’ll be in a unique position in making North Wales the safest place in the UK.
The window for applications is currently open until November 30 and more details can be found on the North Wales Police website – Police Officers | North Wales Police
