Local tile and bathroom business appoints administrators

West Bank Tiles and Bathrooms Limited have appointed Leonard Curtiss of Chester as administrators to liquidate the company.

Customers who still have outstanding issues with work undertaken, have paid deposits or are waiting for work to be completed should contact the administrators in writing with copies of any invoices or receipts for work undertaken or any goods purchased to be recorded as a creditor of the company.

Any business or trades who have undertaken work for the company and have yet to be paid should also contact the administrators in writing with supporting evidence for any monies owed, they will also be recorded as a creditor.

Customers with outstanding issues who have paid for any of the work by credit card should contact their credit card provider, explain the circumstances and seek a full refund.

The appointment of administrators follows a recent press release that a signed undertaking had been given by the company and director they committed to complying with relevant consumer protection laws for all new work undertaken and to resolving all outstanding issues with existing customers within an agreed time frame.

Trading Standard’s and Licensing Lead, Roger Mapleson said: “Any consumers with outstanding issues or concerns regarding their financial position after the announcement should contact Citizens Advice Consumer Service on 0808 223 1133 where they will be offered advice and details of the process to obtain redress if they have paid using credit cards under terms laid down in The Consumer credit Act.”
