Birds at Ty Mawr moved indoors to prevent Avian Infuenza

BIRDS in Wales are to be housed indoors to protect them from a virus.

To protect them against avian influenza, all poultry and captive birds at Ty Mawr Country Park will be relocated indoors and away from wild birds and guests.

To ensure there is little risk from wild birds or people, strict procedures will be put in place to prevent the virus from entering the housing of birds like chickens and ducks.

Visitors to the park may rest easy knowing that the birds will be carefully taken care of and will return to enjoying their lovely surroundings as soon as the threat of bird flu has passed, according to Wrexham Council.

The park’s other animals, which include llamas, lambs, bunnies, and guinea pigs, are unaffected, so guests may still enjoy their visit.
