Cetenary Building student housing plans

It has been proposed to construct student housing on the upper floors of a row of stores in the central business district of Wrexham.

The Centenary Buildings, located at 16-30 King Street, are candidates for an expansion onto the building’s third level as well as a roof terrace. This would create 27 more beds for students.

In 2018, fifty-two apartments were created out of the first two levels that were located above the row of businesses. And in 2020, plans to extend the building to include an additional eight rooftop flats were given the go light.

The following can be found in Taylor Reed Homes Ltd.’s most recent planning application: “Revision to previously approved new roof terrace residential accommodation from eight number apartments to erect a reduced footprint rooftop extension providing 27 number single bed one-person student bedrooms with en suite facilities and shared kitchen, dining and living room areas.”
