SAM ROWLANDS, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is urging people to support a fun packed day of Christmas events in Wrexham city centre.
Mr Rowlands, is backing the city’s Christmas event which is being organised by Wrexham County Borough Council with Fair Events Management, Nightingale House Hospice, Eagles Meadow and Heart Radio tomorrow (Saturday, November 16).
He said: “I am delighted to support such a fantastic festive day for all the family which actually kick starts four days of celebration to mark the reopening of the Butchers and the General Market. What a wonderful way to start this magical season.
“It is great that the launch of the revamped market will be at the same time as the city’s largest seasonal event which always attracts locals and visitors alike and is a good opportunity for local businesses and traders to take advantage of more people being in Wrexham.
“Everybody knows what a vibrant place Wrexham is these days and it is great to see excellent Christmas entertainment on offer leading up to the all important switching on of the Christmas lights.
“There promises to be something for everybody and well worth supporting.”
The festive fun Day starts on Queens Square at 12pm, with the promise of a full day of festive fun, with delicious food stalls, entertainment and holiday activities for all ages!
Fair Events will be providing rides and game stalls, and a selection of street food (including vegan options), with traders from Wrexham Artisan Market also offering their wares including, cakes and treats and handmade items.
There will also be a Nightingale House Hospice Lantern Parade at 4.30pm starting on Queens Square and finishing at Eagles Meadow.
