SAM ROWLANDS, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is backing an initiative to help residents in Wrexham improve their computer skills.
Mr Rowlands was commenting after hearing about free community courses being run by Coleg Cambria this month.
He said: “I am really pleased to hear about this initiative which is a great way of assisting those who struggle with technology.
“More than ever these days we all have to rely on computers and I am delighted to see Coleg Cambria organising these free sessions.
“The courses are ideal for building your confidence on a computer whether you are a beginner or simply need help to get online and well worth attending.”
A basic computer skills course is being held on Monday September 9, from 9.30-11.30am at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre. On the same day there will also be taster sessions to update your computer skills and build your confidence at Maximus Offices, Regent Street, Wrexham from 1-3pm.
On Thursday September 12 there will be another basic computer skills course at Gwersyllt Community Resource Centre from 1-3pm.
