NEIGHBOURHOOD officers have secured charges against a Rhymney teenager following reports of a burglary this week.
A pub on Aneurin Bevan Road was reportedly broken into between 2am and 2:15am on Wednesday (Feb 5), when around £3,000 worth of alcohol was allegedly stolen.
Officers on patrol spotted a number of individuals fleeing the area and discarding plastic bags containing multiple bottles.
Our enquiries over the following day led to us arresting a 16-year-old boy from Rhymney on suspicion of burglary.
The boy has been charged with burglary and is due to appear at Newport Magistrates Court on Friday 7 February.
