A NEW private hospital dedicated to the treatment of cataracts and eye health services has opened in Bridgend county.
The site, run by Sana Private Health, is situated in Pencoed with a “cutting-edge facility” that is aimed at serving residents in the wider Bridgend area and beyond.
A spokesman said the facility will be equipped with the latest advancements in ophthalmic technology alongside a team of highly-skilled surgeons and eyecare professionals aiming to provide the best cataract treatment with an emphasis on “safety, precision, and personalised care”.
The hospital hospital will also offer eye health assessments and post-surgical follow-ups to patients along with providing a range of specialist eye health treatments, educational resources, and surgeries.
The move to open the new Bridgend site comes after what the private healthcare provider said was a success in their Swansea-based private hospital where more than 1300 patients have been treated since it opened in 2023.
Director and cataract and glaucoma specialist Luke Anderson said: “We are implementing the latest technologies and surgical techniques to ensure better, safer outcomes for our patients. We are really excited to be bringing our proven track record from Swansea to our new hospital in Bridgend.”
